      Huh? 12 bar blues is called that becuase of the number of bars in the round,(It contains on average three chords) not becuase of the chronological system of notes. But other than that I agree with you.

      Well, Blues was the start of the Western music system. Which is the system we use for pretty much every instrument except percussion. That’s why they call it 12-bar blues. There are 12 notes. A, A#, B, C, D, D#, E, F, F#, G and G#.

      So YES, Blues are the beginning of OUR music system, but no it is NOT the beginning of music literally…

      I think the first music we have record of is gregoric chant, which is church music made in the days of the roman empire
