I liked this lesson. I love these guys for giving out free lessons like this. I learned moving from one “blues box” (aka. scale) to another, when the chord progression moves, or at least knowing that I am at liability to do so. I guess all it takes is just knowing which chords the blues progression are built on.

Usually when i play improvs in minor keys i usually just play in all aeolian and keep out the half steps in some licks and just use them sparingly. I kinda just think of the pentatonic and aeolian as one scale together.

It’s called reverb and it’s either on your amp or you can buy a pedal for it. so it’s artificial sustain that makes it sound like you’re in a huge empty hall ^^

      Try finding out the modes.

Aeolian mode is a minor mode which is basically like this but then you have the possibility to play even more notes with it. Just make sure you learn the theory first because else you get stuck in playing the same box over and over (like me atm zzzz)
