  • What is the best on line guitar lessons on the net?

Posted by admin on January 2nd, 2010 and filed under guitar lessons | 7 Comments »

I am 4 months into learning the acoustic guitar.

I have had private tuition but it is working out too expensive so thought I would take the on-line route.

There are so many sites to choose from.

I don’t mind paying a subscription if the lessons are good.

Any ideas what one to choose?

    Thanks

If you’ve only been at it 4 months, learn some songs for free on YouTube. ….beware though; the person doing the "teaching" may be teaching you THEIR way of playing a song & not the PROPER way!

I recently started one too, but i’malso taking lessons. But the website is http://www.jamorama.com . You can get a 6 part free trial and it teaches you how to play some song I’ve never heard of. I did it though and I liked it so I got a subscription too. But the free trial might be different for you though because I put in that I just started guitar, even though I didn’t. It has different teaching methods than most other sites. It teaches you a little bit at a time, that way your brain has less to remember so you remember it easier, in turn making you actually progress faster. It sends you a new lesson every 4 days.

I’m self taught myself and I’ve tried a LOT of courses online, from youtube to subscription-based websites and of course… the free sites like Youtube as well. In the end, I settled for one particular course which I thought was excellent… it has a ton of videos along with ebooks with hundred of pages. It’s not subscription based but a one-time payment, well worth the money in my opinion…
