I’ve been playing bass for a couple of months now and I’ve always wanted to get a teacher but I don’t think my mom is going to want to pay for the lessons. But hypothetically speaking if I could get a teacher would it really be worth it?
There are instructional DVDs and online lessons (a lot of these are free). Give those a shot first. And if you decide on an instructor, get references. They’re usually paid by the lesson and will drag them out for the sake of making more money.
Not all of them do this…so if a bass teacher reads this, no offense.
